Not to be melodramatic or anything. Warbands, Frost and Flame, all the rest of it. 2003 through 2012, though our heyday was shorter. It was fun, you guys. Bye.

We're going to be taking the games offline on April 10, since so few people play anymore. The forums will remain open indefinitely.

It's been a fun time. ;)

I think the surrendering might be a good idea, but probably an overcomplication. But setting the personal war tax to be steep is a really good idea!

Sure, I like the 300 turns initial idea.

I also don't mind the increased turn rate, because let's face it, turn rate inflation is here to stay, but let's adjust the cap so it's enough to log in just once a day. Also, let's not make it so you can accumulate enough turns to kill somebody off too ...

I have folks in until Tuesday, then I'm free until Sunday, then my schedule will get weird again. But I'll face that when I come to it. Until then, just try to give me specific tasks, either here or on PM or even email.

Fits in with Freen's idea of land gained in proportion to surviving troops. There still has to be a limit on how much you can gain per attack, as it takes more to take over land, your administrators and workers have to integrate it and so forth.

Agreed, I seem to remember reading (or hearing from you?) about voting systems that were better than AV at balancing party and individual.

The party system is here to stay, but the power of individual Members can still be strengthened or weakened, and I can only imagine AV to weaken it.

Prior to ...

The only thing I don't like about all non-FPTP systems is that it encourages parties as above MPs. Of course, so do things like party discipline and the party whips, and I don't like those either.

You're no worse off than you would have been if you'd had to PM those troops. I've thought about the scenario, and that's why the war restrictions might make sense. Or a hotbutton near the top to freeze/unfreeze the market goods. You'd set it when at war, unset it otherwise. Or use the CM more.

As ...

Just as it used to be...

We could do complicated stuff like murders affecting market troops or them participating in attacks, but instead look at my simple fix in the Market Changes thread:

Well, this is marginally better, at least you see what everyone's got.

But my idea does address the issue completely. Freen, Rudder, you should take another look at it. It's not complicated and it's closer to how markets work anyway.
