Well, I'm looking on starting a clan on BFR this coming round. I'm looking for 2 - 3 other people. These people will have to be

1: Active, checking in one or more times each day.
2: Willing to obey orders, and not carry out actions that the clan leader forbids.
3: Either good players, or willing to take suggestions from the clan leader in order to improve.

If you agree to the above, then post here. I will chose you based on how well I think you would work together in a clan situation and how good your play is. Not first come first served. If you think I'm showing favoritism, well, maybe I am. But I'm just trying to get together a good clan, rather then a bunch of people who help each other in no way but sharing forces...

I presume you'd want yourself at the top?
I always enjoy having decent say in how my turns are run, and when others borrow my turns, I expect to borrow theirs.
Make it a democracy and it sounds like a good idea.
And, no, I'm not on quite daily. But I can net quite well without.
Back. I think.

Of course you'd have a decent say in how your turns are run. I just mean, if I say "Don't kill" I expect members not to kill, help in kills, or attempt kills. I don't want people who will go off and do whatever they want...

A democratic clan is something I've never run. If you want to join up and serve as Assistant so you can help out with it, I'd be willing to give it a shot, it would be fun.

If you say "Don't kill without provocation." Sure.
If you say "Don't kill. Ever." You might be putting yourself in a fun situation.
If you tell me I need to use turns helping to attack someone, I expect something back when I expect help in attacking someone else.

Well, yes. A kill or attempted kill on a clan member is when I'd start allowing kills. Would you suggest different guidlines?

As far as helping attack someone, yes, if a clan member needs help, the others will help. If you happen to need help, you can post in the clan forum or send a general clan mailing.

Also, what did you mean by "Want myself at the top"?

Rudder, you're starting a clan, and want to be its leader.
I'm not sure I do so well following directions.
Or giving them for that matter.

Well, yeah, but I thought you meant you thought I'd do something insane like demand any clan member in #1 drop so I could take it... And in any case, I didn't know for certain what you meant.
I'm not sure I do so well following directions.
Or giving them for that matter.
But you do do well organising, and cooperating. If it hadn't been for the fact we were outgunned and out numbered, =WA= would have done quite well. You wouldn't have to really follow a lot of orders or anything, especilly if it's a democratic clan. It would be nice to have you, and if you could help run a democratic type clan, that would be fun. If not, well...

Another thing. Last thing you need and/or want would be another clan of the masses. There are plenty of skilled people here, but not that many. If half the great people are in a clan and the other half is independent, a victory isn't all that much. It should either be two rival factions of oldbies or a small group verseus everyone else to some degree. I'm not saying duels-like attitudes, but we could use a good clan war. And good doesn't mean a group of six mediocres pounding away at one target and still failing the kill. Good means people actively going against each other and the whole game. The end victory is still by net, but it wouldn't hurt to break the current cycle of overagressiveness followed by people being so scared to fight that there's nothing more than land grabs. Even though I lost that battle in two days, I still remember the incident with the mouse guy, me, and Rudder+LP. Probably the most fun as far as in-game deaths go. Maybe we need something else of the sort.

You mean that thing where we wouldn't let you hit Slasher to get your land back, so we went to war, and I destroyed a bunch your troops with murders the first night? That was fun. Of course, that could have something to do with the fact that I was on the winning side :P I still dispute the claim that I killed the majority of 10 mil otters, though...

Yeah, that could be fun. Maybe IFman, myself and one other, vrs, say, Urran, Nohc and someone else, with everyone else split up in varying ways. Few or no kills, just massive smashings! Whoever can get the most net while smashing at the other clan at the same time would win. (Though unless our third player was better then their third, it might be a bit unequal...)

IFman, glad to have you. I'll send you some info on the clan, Name, Password, ect...

Important thing being you'd still have to smash everyone else, lest those not at war win. Basic recreation of last duels round, just less killing. Of course, two clans would need to force war upon the masses.

True... But the "masses" wold not all be in one clan, they might be independant, or in multiple clans fighting among themselves. So things could get interesting, since there'd be more chances for alliences and betrayal, and other such interesting things... So, Zeph, are you in or not?
