1. When we get more players, this argument collapses.
2. Exactly, and makes hawkers too powerful over indies, which is something we wanted to avoid. Look at other promi games.
3. See (1)
4. Is that good? It's more discouraging than good, if it has an effect at all. It's like multiplying your networth by 5 if you're a hawker.

Look how something like land buying has totally messed up RWL - the balance is disrupted so badly it ain't funny.

Yes, and I closed and moved the land buying thread. Won't touch it with a 10-foot pole.

*laughs*, which is why RWL tested the idea in Turbo first. And the way Retto set it up is insane anyway. There's a much easier and less game impacting way to do it. They do so on ZA promisance Turbo. With slight modifications it could become a great addition, and fair to indies and hawkers. As too a new hawk scout mission, why not? Hawks are already way overpowered, why not a little more? Heh. I suggest either trimming the number of hawk missions ot make indies more competitive, or creating a new race that give indies enough bonuses to make it worthwhile to do, because right now, unless you are REAL good at it, its not a good idea to indy in most prom games.

What about Attack for Land and Attack for Cash? I see those as huge indy bonuses, unique to this promisance.

While this is a big help for indies, and does some to even it out, its easily counteracted by hawkers, because they make so much cash each run they don't need big stockpiles of it, while indies do, and thus the attack for cash has actually helped them even more. But yes, they are unique, and you should continue that by creating a special indy race and giving hawkers even more stuff to play with. That would make this game one of the best I've ever played in.

Oh, speaking of land buying...

RWL DID NOT CREATE THE IDEA!

Hack Infiltration had land buying months before Retto even thought of it. Give credit where it is due. :)

Hm... attack for leader killing + hut destruction would help...

I actually like the RWL idea of hawk capture (although make it somewhere in between the capture on Ragnarok and the capture on RWL)... Turning a hawk-looters main strength against them is fun, and could effectively balance indy and hawk. Depending on how strong it is, of course.

Forget capturing. Go for just killing rather large numbers of hawks. Else, leader-looters get strengthened by capturing each other. (see strategy of Death Eater at RWL)

Devari does have a point. Land buying is not original to RWL, but its also not original to Hack. That idea was actualy one of mine which I got from playing yet another game called ZA Promisance. Joe just expanded on their idea.

As to Hawk capture... um some disadvantage should be made to it of you wanna include that ability, as is its too powerful.

Well, since hawking itself is too powerful, we need some indy-based anti-hawk measure. However, Volkov does have a point that it would be overpowerful if some guy just builds empty huts and attacks to fill them.

I agree with hawk killing - it is a very sensible idea.

Normal attacking does it as well, but it gives them an impossibly huge ratio first. I'm guessing it would be more fun to anti-hawk a badger hybrid and watch as they suffer from countless iterations of the 3% rule. Just stop hawk massers from using it against each other somehow. As in, the strength of such an attack is (possiby) multiplied by (your land / your hawks + 1) / your land .

What if we set it so that if you have over 175 hawks in each hut, the rest are automatically shaved off?
