It very much IS a mind-altering anaesthetic. It alters your perception of pain. (In those who are susceptible to hypnosis) So it would recieve the same testing as other drugs of that type. Ok, this is just silly, I was just making a comparison for dramatic effect. Now we are arguing over how one would classify hypnosis in the FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION. It's neither!
