I agree slasher its sort nice to know that the 90 mill of t1 i got is only actually gonna be 9mill if no-one buys any of them being as troop storing was the biggest part of my strat this set due to the fact i had to use my excess gold up and not leave it open as certain players like to strip away any gold u have out, like a certain person done to me a few sets ago when i was running a similar strat and not storing troops. and i guess in future sets there will be less land availble
I'm not mad just the rest of the world is MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
looking at whats has been done the only ones that can benefit from this is clans, So has this been done to force solo runners into clanning up? which if this was the case then it would open more opertunites for wars as everyone in effect would need to clan. however if u had a clan for instance consisting of say arty freen rudder and general v ( which if i worked it out right these four r probably the best at indy, cashier , farming and maging ) respectively it would make them a unstoppable force. Would this actually attract players? or would it drive them away after awhile? i know that prior to these changes the clans did have the advantage over a solo runner it made things quite interesting to see how close a good solo runner could get to a clan that backed one player and as the last set showed the top 3 consisted of one clanned player and two solo runners.

This was done to eliminate a very cheap strategy. Market storing has been killed at other games ages ago, it was just a matter of time until it was done here. As for new players, yes I think it will help. As opposed to dumping (Profanity is a sign of Maturity) onto the PM all set to dodge upkeep now you actually have to learn how to manage your empire well. As for clans having an advantage, I don't really see how. This hits everyone the same way, just clans have the option of aiding troops instead of using the PM.
This changed the game a lot, and I think it's going to be the first of many.

Dralfith: WHY DID WE DO THIS?!
Acid Soulxx: I DON'T KNOW, WE MIGHT BE GLUTTONS FOR PUNISHMENT.
clans have the advantage of clan tresureary as well a clan market if the market storing for clans is also limited fair enough but then all clan needs is a the treasury as i said b4 if the four best players at each type ie indier mager farmer cashier clan up they will be unstoppable as the indier wouldnt need much land he can just be aided by the rest the cashier and farmer can just store in clan tres and the mager just land runs or generates land which all that needs to happen then is mager gets kicked out of clan allowing the farmer or cashier to land run them giving the mager a good ratio then all the mager has to do is clan back up the cashier and farmer run on the land they got and aides the indier again. thats why i said clans have the advantage more then ever even with other clans setting them to war for max attacks what ever gold and food is stored in clan tres can be used to get at least one player to the top easily. where as a solo runner is more vunerable not only to getting attacked for the land but for excess gold and food which is consisting leaking back into there accounts

mmm, This gives me an idea. Is there any way Testing could be put back up (preferably with the current BFR code and stupidly fast turns) so the players can get some new ideas tested out and ready to post quickly?

Maddog - treasury isn't big enough for 1 person in 4 to stash all their cash - let alone everybody in the clan. It will force resources to be on hand. Indies might benefit, but if we tone down the power of sacking... Anyhow, I'm running casher on WoA, so we'll see how that goes.
As far as your stuff on the markets, let me make things clear.
This was a mistake on my part. I asked for Beatles to implement the changes. I forgot to specify that they were only to be on the resurrected WoA, not on BFR until next set. Therefore, he went ahead and implemented them, completely to my surprise as well as yours.
Now, we can take several recourses. There's a chance FireFrenzy might be able to disable the changes for the rest of this set. I'd rather not see that, but it'd doable. We could kick your troops back onto your account at the 30% commission. This could be a lot of work, so I'd rather not do this.
We could add something so you could adjust your prices on marketed goods Not sure how long this would take, but it's something we want to do eventually, anyhow.
Or, we could just let you rough it, as pretty much everybody's in the same boat.

Oh wait so I get 10% of these back?
Pikemen 23,003,476
Skirmishers 30,663,619
Cavalrymen 49,561,385
Triremes 232,969
Really did this have to be done in the middle of a set without warning? I'm not against the changes or anything, but a heads up would have been GREAT since it is right in the middle of the round.

It ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!

As I just mentioned, it was my miscommunication to Beatles. I forget to mention not to implement on BFR, and so he went ahead, not thinking about it being mid - set.
As such, nobody knew it was coming to BFR. We knew it was coming to WoA, but not BFR...
So quit griping about it, you're all in the same boat. Everybody lost whatever they had market stored, or will, if it doesn't get bought.
