The Germans were the first to use gas canisters, which were illegal. The first to use any gas at all were the French, but their gas grenades were not considered illegal. After the initial German use of gas, the Allies responded in kind with the use of their own gas, in the illegal cansiters.

Looks like the situation is heating up. Syria is "Increasing readyness". Doesn't sound to good. Hopefully, they won't be stupid and do something bad.

I'm pretty sure this war is going to get bigger. Probably become a pan-mideast war within a year or two. I'm just hoping this isn't the start of WW3, and the US or NATO or UN forces can calm things down. It may end up with an invasion and occupation of the countries involved by western forces. Wouldn't THAT suck.

Bet you ten bob it won't.

Briefly speaking, the Middle East has a regularly scheduled war every 5-10 years or so. There is no reason to suppose, while one side has the clear advantage, that any of them will get anywhere beyond scratching Israel's surface.

in theory, WWIII has already begun. it is not old, nor has it started recently, but it is simple to understand should one do so.

any thoughts? or should i just explain?

with the exception of the endless, thoughtless war going on in Ireland and Russian conflicts with some of its old territories and maybe a few more that i am unaware of, ALL OTHER conflicts in the world as of right now involve: Islam v/s (put name of country/ethnicity/religion here). and were talking about massacre delux just look in Africa.

and thusly, i dub thee WWIII. its survival for all you hopeless liberals out there. should you think that if we just pack our bags and bury our heads in pillows of confusion and let politics play out, then i cannot wait until you get your first taste of true pain and reality. everytime anyone goes to any table to talk things out, they get either resolved or rebuked. and the problem with the resolutions is that they are broken and the rubukes are flaunted.
Hezbolah, acoording to that ever uninfluental United Nations, was supposed to be out of Lebbanon years ago and disarmed. yuk yuk yuk.....

the end of western civilization is what they wish. kid yourself all you want and yes, there are innocents who are truley not apart of radical islam, but they be damned. like the Israel army general said: "there are not civilians in an air war" har har!
but i do not think that reason is something that can be brought to the table with these, and yes i am calling them, idiots. for they are. i do not see eye to eye with there beliefs nor do i ever care to. them or me. what a closed and angry mind i must have!

so, its WWIII, feel free to disagree; i care not. im right and yes, i am arrogant, but then agian, i am quite sure that i can out apple pie eat anyone else on this board so: bring it on.

So bring the British Empire back, problem solved. Throw in the US for good measure, at least it'll put a stop to NSA surveillance.

:P Just showing that I can be offensive too.

Last I checked, the definition of a world war was a struggle for related reasons between two well-defined alliances that involved nations on several continents. A nation's being in this war would mean that they have committed troops to it, or their civilians are under duress. Does the world situation fit these criteria? Nope. Check.

Wake me up when you've got something to say that hasn't been said for the last 57 years.

What country is rearing me? Well, considering as I've not received a single cent's worth of scholarship from the government of the United States, and I pay $20,000 a year in tuition (that's without fees or books or what have you), I'd have to say no country is. I have received scholarships from private organizations in several countries and I work 20 hrs/week (40 in breaks) to support my education. My mother and I and some private organizations are educating me, not the US.

Although, I'm not much bothered about the NSA. But it seems to be a touchy topic for Americans. As you showed. :)

And I'm paying for it. Otherwise we could say that you should be eternally indebted to the manager of your apartment complex for giving you a roof over your head. Wake up, you pay for it, you don't need to be grateful for it.

What I am grateful for is that they allowed me to enter the country and study here. That I won't deny.

[edit] I'm saying "wake up" too much. This is an Americanism. I shall have to be more mindful in the future.

To put it bluntly, nobody's perfect, and some people just pretend to be Christians.

Christendom means basically most countries nowadays. I know it's not the official religion anymore, but look up the term. I don't think Christians as such have ever made a child sacrifice, nor do I think that's what we were debating.

Kraken, freedom is in many places. Most people come to the US for cash. Or for the benefits which that provides: i.e. a good education.
