*Nod* It would be nice to see, we do actually have some decent players nowadays, we just need better coaching. At least according to people who know about this stuff.

Hey Volkov, you arn't referring to the Reggie Bush that went to USC are you? :D

Couple quick stats about Bush, these are all taken from his "Pro Day." That's where scouts from the NFL went to USC to check all the players measurables. He ran a 40 yard dash in 4.33 seconds, standing broad jump of 129 inches, (3.28meters) verticle leap of 40.5", and he did 24 repititions on the 225 lb bench press.

Bush is 6' even and 203 lbs.

What about that Vince Young character? I heard he can run like that and throw the ball like 70 yards up field. :P

Young is an idiot. I have always thought he might be a bust in the NFL but when I saw his score on the Wonderlic test it pretty much confirmed my suspicions. He has great physical abilities, but it takes more than athleticism to play QB. Who knows, maybe he will be good, but I'm thinking he's overrated.

BTW Wonderlic is a form of an IQ test that's given to kids that enter the NFL draft. It measures speed and cognitive ability.

Yes, of course I'm refering to that pocking Reggie Bush. Not that it helped much against good ole' ND. He had one break out run, and was contained the rest of the time. It was more Lendale White tearing us up on the power running and Leinart's arm that won that game. And even then only just. ND was 3 second's away from winning that game. Damn refs.

But I'm fairly sure that if ND had played it's game, and not ball control like they did, they would have torn up USC. Ridiculous score. USC just had no defense against Notre Dame. ND's defense stopped the supposed best offense in the country several times. ND scored at will when they needed too, USC struggled the whole game. This year, you watch, Quinn'll win the Heismann and ND will go to another Bowl game, and this time win. Unless it's the Nat. Championship, in which case all bets are off.

Young has alot of atheltic talent, but he's one of those scrambling QB's, like Micheal Vick, but without Vick's insight into the game. He'll either explode in the NFL, get hurt real quick, or completely flop, there's not gonna be any middle road.

Praising Reggie Bush and the performances of Leinart/White when USC beat Notre Dame, man if I didn't know better I'd say you were starting to see the light and become a USC fan. :P

In all honesty that was one of the better games I'd seen in a while. Time for 1 last shot, if they make it they win, if they don't they're done. Their season hinging upon your performance on that 1 play, and they stepped it up.

More like the ref gave them a free play after we stopped them the first time. Total BS. And I wasn't praising them, I was just admitting that they were a good team. And that we picked the wrong method to try and beat them. Was undoubtedly the best game of both ND's and USC's year.

Just because I recognize skill at the game doesn't mean I like the buggers. I HATE USC. I HATE Reggie. And I HATE Leinart. Brady Quinn is da MAN! Charlie Weis is up there with Holtz and Parseghian as an ND head coach in my opinion. And Notre Dame is still the undisputed champ in number of Nat. Championships won. I will hate USC till my dying day. :D

And yes, it's funny that we are still talking football Freen.

all about FAVRE, come on...you know you want to click it

..."I'm sorry, but I really can't see anything redeeming in your philosophy other than that dinosaurs are cute."
~Beatles

The Kraken, which is found primarily in Scandinavian myth, was a huge sea creature. It was said to lie at the bottom of the sea for a long time and then it would rest at the surface....Like the Midgard serpent in the Norse myths, the Kraken was supposed to rise to the surface at the end of the world.

You know, I bet he was more pissed off that Italy was outplaying them after getting beaten by the US. Cause that would mean the US is once again, better than France.

*Maniacal laughter ensues*

The US did nothing of the scort. Did they even score a goal this tournament? Oh! Yeah, one against Ghana. Against Italy, only an Italian own goal helped them.

Umm. That was a joke Beatles. Generally laughter, maniacal or otherwise, means it's a joke. I know that we tied Italy.
