It's about leaving your house at eight in the morning, going to Times Square in the messed up subway lines, standing in a crowd with no hope for a restroom break, waiting until midnight, and looking at an oversized piece of lead crystal wondering why it doesn't mess up and ever fall on someone. You don't do this because it's good for you. You do it only so you can say you've been there, but I haven't.
Back. I think.

Sounds.... dumb?

I didn't even make it to 12:00 this year. Fell asleep reading "Programming Perl" by Larry Wall. Not that the book is boring or anything, just that I was tired.

its much better to watch on TV.. then you can get a good view, and flip between channels as you wait for it to drop

I watched it.. I was hopeing it would drop faster... maybe break away and roll through the croud.. as long as noone was killed that would be amusing ^_^

I amused myself by making a Soma cube from ~120 some individual pieces of paper.. origami is fun..

What would you have to do if you decided to drop such a ball of your own to makes it this popular?

Hmm. I don't know. You'd have to do it in a famous location, and you'd have to do it for a while, so people have time to get interested.
