What are you doing when this happens? Foraging? Trading? Attacking? Other?

I don't get what you mean by "turns script". Could you explain?

First, I am not a lawyer... er, sorry. I meant I'm not a game dev, nor am I a programmer. How are you running this? I think I remember some line forbidding this to be run from a browser for security reasons. Yet, if that's the case, why is it getting to all those lines? The last time I looked at something like this was very long ago, and don't really feel like looking again at something this confusing before I really get spare time. However, there was some sort of line in turns that said: if there is a referrer, abort script because it's not supposed to be run from browser. Short answer, I have no idea. Long answer, see above. I have no idea there anyways. But there's a good 1% chance it'll help.
Back. I think.

Email Beatles, or wait for him to come around and post on this topic. I'm not sure how soon he'll reply either way, but he was the one who did the majority of the coding on this project, so he should know...

Are you sure config.php has no errors in it, is available, and is readable by conf-proc? The problems you name seem to be that variables that are in config.php are not defined, though they should be.
Just in case, the newer version of config.php is incompatible with the older, although I'm not sure the older is even on SourceForge...
