11 Races
4 Troop Types
13 Locations
4 Resources
Perhaps a Duels type server

Resources are:

Gold
Meat
Wood
Loyalty

Instead of using money to build, you would use Wood.

Gold is strictly for the production/buying of troops. Meat is used to either sell to make more Gold, or just to create more Networth. Loyalty for Crows (Hawks).

Troops are:

Swordsmen 2:2
Archers 4:3
Axemen 8:5
Calvary 9:8

If you have any suggestions, comments, please post here. I haven't thought up troop costs/upkeep yet. Hopefully you guys can help me with it.

A "special" troop may be added. Not sure about this though.

Races are:

Men
Primary race with no advantages or disadvantages what-so-ever.

Dwarves
Mainly a defensive race with good industry and generally poor leadership (Hawks, Crows) skills.

Light Elves
Mainly a leadership race with good economy but poor industry.

Halflings
Basic race with good offense and defense bonuses, but no noticeable industry or hawk benefits/defects.

Wizards
Versitile race that can either be good at leadership or industry.

Trackers
Good race for beginners to use since Trackers have good offense and defense with a suitable economy.

Goblins
A good race for those who wish to send aid to clan members/allies. Great economy but poor industry and offense.

Orcs
A good offensive/indy race. Orcs have the best Scouting bonus in the game.

Trolls
Trolls have the best offensive bonus which is countered with a slight defense defect and poor leadership.

Gnomes
Gnomes are noted for their good economy, defense, and cheap mercenaries. Though they have a poor offense and industry, they can be used to either create resources for a whole clan or buy enemy troops from the public market.

Forest Giants
Forest Giants have the best defense in the game with a noteable offensive bonus. This is offset by a very poor economy and weaker leadership.

It's a mixture of all the Promis I play: FAF, RWL, Ragnarok, QMT, Valhall, and Province.

Convo between myself and Zephyrus:
MPAN abc: I name a strat, and you should have some race which fufills it well.
Footb402: Name any strat
MPAN abc: Pure hawk cashing, defenceless.
Footb402: Light Elf
MPAN abc: Basher. ie, huge off, build bonus, minus to def, upkeep, etc.
Footb402: Troll or Forest Giant
MPAN abc: Troll is understandable.
MPAN abc: Forest giant isn't agressive guard massing?
Footb402: You mean a bad (not good) defense or great defense?
MPAN abc: Forest giant needs upkeep +15 or more to really increase their costs.
MPAN abc: I mean forest giant is shrew.
MPAN abc: You're citing it for the can't defend attacks well category.
MPAN abc: Orcs needs fixing.
Footb402: How so?
MPAN abc: Scouting bonus?!
Footb402: Hare
MPAN abc: And that's underused as ever.
MPAN abc: It has nothing you cannot get from another race.
Footb402: And I tweaked it, hoping more people will use it
MPAN abc: Tweaked how?
MPAN abc: You need to create a purpose that other races cannot fill.
Footb402: Orcs control land in the beginning of a round
MPAN abc: I dunno. I've not seen FaF people use hares.
Footb402: and can into the end of the round if played correctly
MPAN abc: So it gets def+?
Footb402: Peace is a Hare on Duels, you can watch him
Footb402: def -
MPAN abc: So the lead gained early is kept how?
Footb402: Troop production
Footb402: +12
MPAN abc: Why not shrew?
Footb402: I didn't get the race info from FAF alone..I used FAF, QMT, Valhall, and Province
MPAN abc: But why would someone use hare instead of badger, shrew, otter?
MPAN abc: FaF is a familiar point of reference for me.
Footb402: I wish I knew how to create the tables (good ones) so I can do it that way.
MPAN abc: So, your hare is useful for what reason?
Footb402: To either create land for other people to take if you just want a land farm, or hold land for yourself if you chose to take advantage of the +12 troop prodution
MPAN abc: Well, I won't argue with it much.
MPAN abc: For light elf, why low upkeep cost?
MPAN abc: Shouldn't a peaceful race be limited in its ability to keep troops?
Footb402: Light Elves have -0 costs
MPAN abc: It should be + someodd.
MPAN abc: Some large amount making light elves more guardless than troop hogs.
Footb402: -8 food costs, -6 food production
MPAN abc: So?
MPAN abc: Those cancel each other/
Footb402: Why shouldn't they if you're going peaceful?
MPAN abc: Shouldn't what?
Footb402: cancel each other
MPAN abc: You want the light elf who masses troops to pay a heavy cost, as it'd be overpowered.
MPAN abc: Light elf is the buy and immediately sell back approach to troops.
Footb402: I just did a draft, can be changed any moment
Footb402: It's very similiar to Squirrel though
MPAN abc: A sort of dark elf would be more suited to warfare, but still have the same cost problems.
Footb402: I had Dark Elf, but changed it to Wizard
Footb402: Err..Tracker
MPAN abc: Wha? You want a race with off, def, and costs?
MPAN abc: I don't think that'd be fair.
MPAN abc: Generally, a new person race is off, costs, build and bad def.
Footb402: Tracker has +14 off, +6 def, -5 costs, -15 build
MPAN abc: -15 build is not something you want new players to use.
Footb402: If it has good off/def, shouldn't this work out?
MPAN abc: No. New people tend to go the same strat as Devari does with otter.
Footb402: or should it be changed to -5 build?
MPAN abc: As is, it should have cost +, and isn't necessarily the race of choice for new people.
Footb402: +8 costs?
MPAN abc: -15 build should be fun to try, not sure the consequences.
MPAN abc: +5 or +8.
Footb402: Squirrel is -10 build, so it's close
MPAN abc: Squirrel does well without land, and goes building once every few runs only.
MPAN abc: A new player race would attack, build, lose land daily.
Footb402: Tracker takes land easily, just takes more turns to build
Footb402: New players (n00bs) tend to get discouraged if land is taken from them so easily
MPAN abc: And yet giving them def+ does them nothing without knowledge of the game.
Footb402: New players to just a game should try something challenging
Footb402: They should know a + def is good
MPAN abc: Def+ works only if your strategy is centered around it.
Footb402: What would you change it to?
MPAN abc: I'm not sure.
MPAN abc: But, if I'm new to the game, I'll probably figure out attacking on day two, whereas defence doesn't come so easily.
Footb402: Which comes to Guards
Footb402: What is a good number for a Guard's Def points?
Footb402: I want to make them more useful than they are now, but not unbreakable
MPAN abc: What you set it will determine the metagame's strategy.
MPAN abc: As-is now, someone skilled could easily guard mass to the top.
Footb402: Ok.
MPAN abc: More def points will increase these people, less will make them go about their strategy differently,
Footb402: What other things do you see wrong with the races?
MPAN abc: Wrong? None. I just want to try things different.
Footb402: Ah...what would you do differently then?
MPAN abc: Which race does no other Prom have? Is it balanced and fair? Is there a niche it fills well? What strat does it play?
MPAN abc: Another thing, make it so pubmarket trading is more common.
Footb402: How can you do this without taking out current features?
MPAN abc: Make it so both sides of a pubmarket transaction get more than they would from pvtmarket, using turns other ways.

I like the races for any kind of strat. A turbo server would be nice for impatient people (me), otherwise awesome. What's the pending release date?
It ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!

If I could create tables like those shown on the Game Guide, I'd show all of the info.

I'm currently trying to find programmers to program the game since I know nothing about it.

Oh yeah, you know NO PHP. Considering PHP is a recursive acronym meaning "Hypertext Preprocessor". :D

I might be able to help after AoH. But maybe not... Anyway, FAF codebase would hopefully be so easy to configure that anyone could do it. That was the goal, anyway.

I'll hopefully have two running servers: One slow and a turbo. Slow would be 5 turns every 20 minutes, turbo would be 8 turns every 10 minutes. Max turns on slow would be 450. Max on turbo would be 750.

I'd appreciate it Devari.

*gets to work on Race Info table*

750 is NOT a good idea. Not unless you're really trying to encourage kills.

Without additional healing, a solo kill would be barely possible with that rate. If you allow Brome, it'd be a bit dangerous. But otherwise, someone massing loyalty would do the same with hawk heal.
Back. I think.
