the game is here
You have been straight owned... on all fronts and that will never change.

The big error was in thinking they we never played prom before and that was a biggy.. B)

We have had a prom running for quite some time and many, myself included were VERY, VERY disappointed to see it change to this weird easy code that presented no challenge).

You will never do well at LO my friend. NEVER.. There are sharks their that you cannont understand and even here they have dominated in an embarrassing way with out the top dogs even trying.

I have seen people stay online all day, day after day.. Like smeg and PWD and its so sad I actually felt bad hitting them.

Go back and just practice your game and play rovl or wherever this code really came from..

Haha, pretty big move there. Although straight owning gondor and PWD isn't saying too much. (no offense) No use arguing, I suppose, we'll see what happens in Duels.
It ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!

1: You make the mistake of thinking we were trying to take you down. As far as I know, no one really was. We're not the most agressive players out there. Just watch out for last minute net jumps, that's a favored strat.
2: No one forces you to use this code. If you don't like it, make a better one.
3: This game is not based off RWL. Inspired, to a degree, but this was taken off the base promisance code and heavely modified to make it better. (If not in features, as you seem to think, at least in security things.) It did not come from www.rovl.com/rwl despite what you may think.
4: Like Japan said, pounding Gondor isn't much of an achivement. Go one on one with Beatles or Devari, if you can win, then you can say you're better then us.

Headcheese - I've said it before a million times and I'll say it again. This codebase is /configurable/, get that into your thick head. It can be configured for playability to be just like any other promisance you see out there, or the one you had earlier. Then all you are left with are things like leaving protection early, or the max checkboxes, etc., which I'm sure even you don't object to. Try to grasp that.

This is getting kind of silly. I had fun playing a bit over break but I don't have time anymore. Also Beatles said what I was thinking anyways. I'm seriously tired of the complaining about the configs. Just change them for goodness sake. Most of the best features are in stuff only admins see.

i think you missed his point there Beatles!
at least most of it!
he may have a thick head, but he is a hella good player!
like that or not!
the code here at FAF is much more simpler than that on LO...its just a brazen fact. was it headcheese's doing? no.
but i am losing myself in this point! *laughs*

The Kraken, which is found primarily in Scandinavian myth, was a huge sea creature. It was said to lie at the bottom of the sea for a long time and then it would rest at the surface....Like the Midgard serpent in the Norse myths, the Kraken was supposed to rise to the surface at the end of the world.

What the heck, do you just not get it? The codebases are the same, they may be configured differently, but if so, don't gripe if your local admin decides to set it up in a way you don't like, or if he doesn't have even the rudimentary skill required to configure it. Whatever the case, don't gripe to us, because it's your admin's jolly fault if you perceive a difference and don't like it.

*laughs*...
if anything LO players should gripe to their admins over their rather poor taste in decorating...
the color schemes at LO are all pretty bad and the banners were annoying as heck..

precentages can be changed, as well as race type etc.. thats what makes this game easy or hard.. its all on personal preference, and if the admins at LO make it so that the game is easy then thats their decision

edit:
oh, and Kraken,
"We have had a prom running for quite some time and many, myself included were VERY, VERY disappointed to see it change to this weird easy code that presented no challenge)."

that quote says that the FAF code is 'wierd'
Beatles was defending the code he and others worked hard on..

Weird, easy code? Eh, it's whatever the admins do with it. It's quite easy to re-configure/balance it. I created a Promisance game from a harder codebase with no prior programming experience. Not very hard at all.

[edit] And right, let us get this straight! LO is a reconfigured FAF-based game. The code there is identical to ours, with the exception of config.php! That's whay we distribute the game - so people can make their own servers. The ease of use depends on what the admins do with the game configuration. If the admins have no knowledge of PHP, then they can get someone else to spiffy up their game.

How is the code easy? I'd bet you that, whatever the problem, it could be fixed by only modifying config.php! Market sell price too high? Change it! Stock Market too strong? Add it to disabled pages!

And WTH is this about us being rovl-based?
