But this would tend to fall under the definition of kill mongering, because it's killing simply because they are valnerable, not because you have a reason.

But it seems to me that sometimes you need to kill someone if they are too high and you can't possibly defeat them any other way! I am not saying that I am going to resume killing I am just saying that it should be OK to kill once in a while especially during a War.. I am going to try not to kill tho...

It is always possible to destroy someones net. Nobody is invincible. It may require more than 1 empire to bring them down, but you can always destroy someones net.

Get creative, find new ways to hurt an empire, do whatever you have to do. I have seen 3 empires all ranked in the 30's STD attack the entire top 10 every run through good teamwork and coordination.
