So I've switched my default browser to Epiphany. I really like it. It's got the Gecko rendering engine, like Firefox, but it's significantly faster. I don't know why, since it even saves form data (e.g. I hit back, then forward, and my text is still there; I love that...) but it just does stuff faster. Try the good old refresh-attack trick in FAF with Firefox and Epiphany: you'll feel the difference. But this applies to other stuff as well. In Firefox or IE, if you want to change encodings, it reloads the page. Epiphany doesn't.
It's tabbed, of course. Although some tab operations have different default shortcuts, but you can get used to them all. Also, it imposes an alphabetical sort on the bookmark bar, but maybe I just haven't figured out how to prevent it. :P
It's got a bit wider icon bar (back, forward, etc.) than Firefox, and the address bar is below that, plus there's no search bar. All in all, Firefox has definitely uses screen real estate better. But that's not a problem for me, with this monitor. (:P)

You guys have other nonstandard favorite browsers? Preferably those that use a major rendering engine, e.g. Trident (IE), Gecko (Mozilla/Firefox, Galeon), or KHTML (Konqueror, Safari) etc.?

Epiphany can export 'em too. ;)
It's not as customizable, true, but the default setup isn't too bad, and it's faster...

BTW, Fedora is the first Linux I've worked with that by default let several programs access the sound device flawlessly. ALSA, I believe, but on Mandrake it somehow didn't work. Go Fedora... :D

mdk 10.2 was /supposed/ to have the Alsa fix to allow more than one sound at a time..

*shrugs*

but can you import Epiphany bookmarks into firefox? 'cause I'm not sure, but I think its linux, possibly Gnome only...

hum...

Right now I'm back to Mozilla 1.4, seeing as I am some 500 mi away from home.

At least it's better than IE *shutters*...

I only hear that type of response less than five percent of the time.
Tell me about your likes and dislikes?

Sounds interesting, to say the least. The UI isn't bad at all...

Trick: when opening a new tab; do Ctrl-T Ctrl-L for focus.
