Right.

I'm giving an ultimatum for the resolution of the current whining/flaming/b****ing that is happening right now regarding the bloodbath round. I am away until July 11th. When I get back, I expect to see this conflict resolved. By that, I don't mean the end of the war; I mean an end to the flaming. The war may or may not continue.

If I do not see it as resolved, I will reset the server. Anyone who has not smartened up by that time will be barred from signup until the third day after the reset (the 15th). I do not care if you are an administrator, moderator, or member. I WILL ENFORCE THIS. Your account will be disabled. Immaturity (i.e. attacking my descision, signing up before the 15th) will be PUNISHED - an extra 3 days for each offense. ONCE AGAIN, I do NOT care if you are an administrator - you will be found just as guilty.

I TRUST we can all be the better person here and resolve this conflict. If it isn't finished by the time I get back, I WILL BE PISSED OFF. I don't care how you all resolve it, but the whining MUST be finished.

Goodbye. I trust I will come back to a mature community.

For now, I'm trusting Nev to keep the peace. He has been acting the most mature lately, in my opinion.

Remember, you have 4 1/2 days to smarten up. I'm not only going to be angry if this isn't resolved by then, I will be severly disappointed and saddened. Last I checked, we were a mature community here.

Sir Devari is my hero! ;)

Here's my idea; just play. You get killed, sign up and try again. ROCK is by no means impossible to defeat.
It ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!

Very reasonable, though you might want to make it a little more than 3 days...

"Two" said Gimli, patting his axe. He had returned to his place on the wall. "Two?" said Legolas. "I have done better, though now I must Grope for lost arrows; all mine are gone. Yet I make my tale twenty at the least. But that is only a few leaves in a forest."

"Twenty-one!" said Gimli. "Good!" said Legolas. " But my count is now two dozen. It has been knife work up here."

"Forty-two, master Legolas!" he cried. "Alas! My axe is notched; the forty-second had an Iron collar on his neck. How is it with you?" "You have passed my score by one," answered Legolas. "But I do not grudge you the game, so glad am I to see you on your legs!"

sounds good Devari ^_^

any amount of time is too long, as this shouldnt happen to being with

the players should respect a decision made by admins and not play if they dont like it (there are thousands of other games out there, go try one out while the round you dont like goes on)

We run a new BFR, Specal round, or duels each month just to mix up the playing feld. This is one of FAF's greatest streignths, there is always a freshly designed game. Some of these things work well, others don't. We appricate comments about the design of a game, but be please be respectful. It makes for a better community, and a better game, which benefits us all.

Hmmm, I don't know about all this. In my opinion the forums should be a place for open discussion. As long as the posts are not in poor taste I don't see any problems with someone having an opinion different than mine or anyone elses. The only way to get better is often times by getting constructive criticism.

Just keep in mind that what you say is not quite as important as how you say it. If someone doesn't like something and posts about it in an intelligent manner I see absolutely no problems with that. In fact, I encourage it. Remember that debates are healthy while flame fests are not.

I can't say that I blame people for not wanting to play in a killfest since it's not really my thing either. Some people love to kill, some love to net, some love to destroy other peoples nets. We all play the game for different reasons, the balance we should strive to achieve is one where we can have as many people enjoying themselves as possible. One possible way of achieving this is to have a seperate server for kill fests. Since it happens every 6 months or so it might not be a bad idea to incorporate that into the special server twice a year. Then the people who want to do that can, and those who don't can continue playing the regular games.

Anyway that's a tired man's 2 cents worth. If my internet isn't screwey I'll edit it tommorrow to try to make more sense. Anyways, have fun this set.

What?! Excuse me, I am out of the round. I'm finished with this. I'm giving a 3-day suspension to ANYONE. I don't give a crap if it is Urran, Japan, or Nohc; heck, if anything, they should know better.

Please do not accuse me of being biased one way or another, Slasher. I'm out of this war and was leaving when I was killed anyway.

And I can assure you that if anyone abuses admin power in this incident, I will personally temporarily releive them of their duties. Maybe I seem heavyhanded; however, I have seen this community getting torn apart. Sometimes people only seem to respond to threats of punishment.

Nuke: The whole reason for this is that the posts have been in poor taste from BOTH sides. Discussion I can take. Heated discussion is ok; but not flame wars. I think this is getting out of hand, so thus this Ultimatum.

Last post until the 11th, I promise. ;)

I was not trying to point out any one particular person or side. That is why i tried to stress the importance of posting people's opinions in a non-flammatory manner. I don't expect everyone to agree with everything, I just want people to disagree in a mature manner.

This goes for anyone in any forum debate, whether it is about the killfest or about what foragers should be named, or whatever else. No matter how strongly you feel about a subject, or how hard it is for you to see from others' perspectives, you will never improve your argument by flaming.
