Someone brought to my notice the situation at FAF here. Capable as the admins are to handle it, I feel I need to intervene briefly. Please don't take this as a disregard for the authority of the current staffers.
I have reset BFR. The reason is that a great majority of players disliked the round compared to those who liked it.
I urge you all not to leave. In the future we can just hold blood baths in the special server, without interfering with the "normal" BFR.
I am especially proud of how the following admiins conducted themselves during this time:
* Ruddertail
* Nevadacow
* Devari
I am not proud of how the following community members conducted themselves: (Do not take this as a rebuke, just as a fact that you lost your tempers)
* elvis
* Slasher
* gondor
* ohmyjapan16
* Urran Voh
Of course while we'll try to avoid conflicts, please remember at all times that losing your temper is the single worst thing you can do in an argument. Keep cool, it's just a game, and you can always take a break for a few days if people get on your nerves.
Please sign up again for the new BFR. It's just the 7th of the month; you've got plenty of time left.
Please don't contact/bother me with further questions if you're a community member. The staff can take care of your question. Staffers may email me of course.
I'm a bit sad that tempers flamed up thus, but the blame lies, IMHO, with all of us. Members would be universally condemned for doing what we as admins allowed and did. However, you members also had plenty other options than screaming at us (i.e. fight back, leave for a month, play CoG). As I've mentioned, such things will in the future be held on special servers.
Well at least we learned something from this debacle. Hope you don't leave because of this specifically.

He's Hungarian by birth, I believe. So, yes, he might be traveling home for some reason or other. I doubt he'll stay too long, he told Devari he might be back by August. As for why he's using that, rather then his regular account, he deleted his "Beatles" account. I don't know why. Or, maybe he just suspended it... I don't know.

Lotr rocks!
"Two" said Gimli, patting his axe. He had returned to his place on the wall. "Two?" said Legolas. "I have done better, though now I must Grope for lost arrows; all mine are gone. Yet I make my tale twenty at the least. But that is only a few leaves in a forest."
"Twenty-one!" said Gimli. "Good!" said Legolas. " But my count is now two dozen. It has been knife work up here."
"Forty-two, master Legolas!" he cried. "Alas! My axe is notched; the forty-second had an Iron collar on his neck. How is it with you?" "You have passed my score by one," answered Legolas. "But I do not grudge you the game, so glad am I to see you on your legs!"

There beryl, pearl, and opal pale,
And metal wrought like fishes' mail,
Buckler and corslet, axe and sword,
And shining spears were laid in hoard.

Thank you Beatles. It was probably, more or less, the best idea.
I also want to thank Ruddertail and Nev for their tact and respect for all members and sides. Both of you have been the perfect model of how an admin (and in Ruddertail's case, someone involved in the incident) should act under such circumstances.
Applause to you two! :*laughs*:

Not everyone on that list was aginst the blood bath. And no one said that speaking aginst the Blood Bath was wrong either. It was how the point was presented. Flames will not convince anyone. In this case, the flames most likely caused the blood bath server to be run longer than it would have been otherwise run had the opponents presented their arugments in a calm, clear, and logical manner.
