Only allow a player to buy a certain amount of stock in total worth, a cap that is relative to networth, as in loans, etc.

That would be nice, but you should be able to buy/deposit much more then the rate of the bank in relation to networth. The bank is not all that effective. Maybe have the occasional stock market crash, very good days, very bad days. Make the stock market less stable.
It ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!

I wouldn't put a cap on it. Just make it easier to lose your money.

Maybe that's why beatles suggested it in the first place, so money can be stealable, which makes it more "balanced" for hawkers, which eventually leads to more reasons to kill someone XD

I think there should be a certain amount of stock that can be bought by the game that increases as the total networth of the game increases. Maybe 100x the game's total networth is the total value of stocks that can be bought. If the total networth of the game went down the cap would go down and an unlucky someone would lose some of their stocks completely.

Mabey one of these days I'll learn PHP and re-do the stock market my self...

What I would do is would make a maxium number of total shares avable, depending on the number of active players. It should be a relatively high, but limited number of shares.

To make the stock market more riskey, we need to do the oppsite... Make it so you can buy MASSIVE amounts of stock you can buy, and implement margin.

Don't know if we want to make it more risky. What if someone just gets catapulted into emperorship by luck, etc.?

Meh, everyone trying to gain emperorship needs luck (rudd's downfall is an example...) we should just make stocks more risky anyways... so that the storing isn't as fruitful, and people won't load up on cash for a few days and spend it out on gaining emperorship...

I didn't need luck, I needed more cash and a better ratio. If we make the stock market unusable for storing, we need to do something else storing. With our super-easy sacking, it's imposible to leave cash sit around on ones account, and the bank is little good. It'd pretty much screw hawks to remove the stock-market storing option.

well, I guess I have to agree (again?) we should keep it the way it is, unless someone finds a change that won't ruin up a strat or two...

Add an index fund or two. It's price is the adverage of all stocks, so that much of the risk is cancled out.

And on a side note... Do we really want there to be a way of storeing reasources?

I would think so, since it makes a lot of strats harder to run if you can't store up for a big run...
