The dictionary defines gay as

1: Joyus and lively; merry; happy; lighthearted.
2. Bright, brilliant.
3: Given to social life and pleasures.
4: Wanton
5: [Slang] Homosexual.

Is this multiing Joyus and lively? No. Is it bright, or brilliant? No. Is it given to social life and pleasures? No. Is it wanton? Possibly, but if you whish to call it wanton, use that word, not the word "gay". Is it homosexual? No. Absolutly not. It is an act, acts cannot be homosexual.

If that isn't enough reasons, here's a 6th. I'm an admin, and I SAID SO. Thank you.

I know of 2 other defintions (well I guess one is more of a use than a definition) for the word gay:

1) Somewhat common name for a girl, hasn't been used in this manner much since the 60's or so. Oddly enough that was about the same time it tool on "other meanings."

2) Derogatory adjective. Synonyms include cheesy, stupid, uncool, retarded etc...

Yeah, but the second definition is annoying and way overused. I wouldn't use it unless you want to look like everyone else trying to be cool.
