What is the most efficient way to use a given ammount of land in order to wind up with more cash each turn?
1) Build camps on it to reduce military costs.
2) Build markets on it to increase income.
3) Build tents on it to increase your overall population, thereby increasing you number of workers, which in turn raises your income.

IMO, neither of the three.
Build foragers and sell the food to get the cash you need. I only use Camps to reduce the costs on the BM (not much, but it helps). Tents I never found a use for. And Markets aren't really that powerful on the FAF code.

Camps are not very effective at lowering upkeep. Of the other 2, the best is a combination of the 2. About 50-50 is good. The most common method of making cash around here is to farm and sell the grains on the BM. However, I think a market/hut strategy may very well be the most productive if done right. There are a few changes to the FAF code that makes that strategy more efficient than on original code. Recruit spell and hut hero come to mind.
Just keep in mind that the casher (market/hut) strat is a very difficult one to master, while farming is an extremely easy strat to do well with. If your trying to decide between cashing or farming keep in mind your goal for the set, your race, and lastly your prom experience.

I know the voices in my head arn't real but they usually have some pretty good ideas.

Well, I answered my own question about camps vs markets. Camps are worthless for income purposes. I demolished all my camps and rebuilt only a few of them as markets (I ran out of turns), but my income went up. Clearly the cost reduction factor of the camps is just too low to make them useful for income purposes, I don't know how useful they are/aren't for any other functions they have. (I still don't know about tents vs markets though.)
