Heehee, glad to hear someone likes the FAF background enough to use it on their computer! Karlin criticized me to bits on the design, and he didn't leave out the background. <_<

Yeah! Its cool windy. Though now that I've had a chance to see it some more, I'm not so sure its a P-39, its the canopy on the cockpit. In a P-39 I think it was more rounded. I think this might actually be a British plane, the Mosquito.

I searched forever on these plane

and that (should) indeed be a P-38
however, I believe that particular one is a P-38E

due to the sucess of the model, there's a few variations with the name lightning

I found a cargo plane with an elongeded body, same body style ^_^

Pretty much the same icons, but they all go crazy and end up in different places.Image

Yeah, P-38 I meant. *laughs*. But like I said, It could be a Mosquito, it had the same body style and was very similar to the P-38, just a few small shape differences, one being the canopy, but it could well be a P-38E, they were an iproved model with cannon in the nose instead of machine guns. There are indeed many lightnings. Oh and the cargo plane was not inspired by the Lightning, it was called the flying Boxcar and was built after the war for paratroopers.

Ah, GNOME. How do you like it so far, windy?

BTW, what are those icons in the middle of the desktop? Just standard desktop icons?

Kicker was getting on my nerves, so I dumped kde (it did a few bad things, and refused to be turned off)

tried gnome 'cause its pretty (and it really is too)
the gnome panel kicks kicker's butt :P

so yeah
thoes icons in the center are just icons, with a single space as their name
the gnome, well, nautilus 'home' and 'system' buttons refused to go away easily, and I didnt want to damage anything, so I just gave them transparent icons and renamed them with a space as well, then plopped them up in the corner outa the way.. I forget they're there and I use konqueror for most of my file management anyhow

Anyway, kicker should be gone in KDE 4.

XFCE shall be wonderful(z0r) in 4.4. It already is, actually.

By the way, I am running Vector Linux on my computer at home -- 165 Mhz/64 MB RAM powerhouse... XD It really did do magic with it though, although I had to change the default GTK theme, stop using ROX, use IceWM, and set display depth to 16. But then it just blazes along. :)
