Again, I'll take a look at your actual lists later. Thanks for all the input!
Suggestion: images or animations
We're going to rename the whole stock market thing into more of a commodity trading kind of thing. So, don't worry about graphics for stocks, worry for more of a merchant type thing.

My opinions:
Status - Agree!
Attacking - Agree!
Recruitment - Agree with Kyrodo. It's best to try and keep everything as ambigous as possible, so if we have a theme change or someone wants to set up a server, we can reuse the pictures.
Scouting - Agree with Urran.
Trade - Agree, perhaps with a weighing scale or a couple bars of gold?
Forage - Disagree. How about something like a patch of (or a single) blackberry bush(s)?
Write - Agree, obvious choice here.
Heal - Agree
Build - Disagree, a medieval-looking construction site would be better. Like, a hut in construction.
Demolish - Agree with Urran's elaboration on Kyrodo's idea.
Bazzar/Market - Of course!
Bank - Disagree - coinage would be better.
Raffle - sure!
Aid - Disagree. How about a supply-laden skiff upon a river?
Bounties - Agree with Kyrodo (Assassin)
Hawks - agree with Urran
Heroes - Agree with Kyrodo - see what I said about recruitment
Clan - Maybe nothing - a clan is able to supply their own banners. If we do get a graphic, I agree with your basic idea.

What sort of sizes are we looking for? I will go request on jakool if you at least give me some sizes and a list of the things in order of priority (sp?).
Another way to implement the images would be as backgrounds. You could use fairly large images and place them as backgrounds on the appropriate pages (although making sure the text is still readable could be an issue), or you could use small images like you would if you were putting them inline, but put them as a background instead (simply use CSS to prevent them from tiling and to place them where you want them).
Another option for allowing people to choose images/no images would be to assign all the images a CLASS and then use a combination of CSS and scripting to toggle the images. The script would simply change the CSS from
.FancyImages {display:inline;}
to
.FancyImafes {display:none;}
and back. (NOTE: This would have to be tested in M$IE, as I think that M$IE doesn't support display:none properly. In that case, the idea could still be used, but have the script replace all images with the FancyImages class with a 1x1 blank GIF.)
If more themes are added (ie to have a version of each theme with/without images), I think the radio buttons selector for themes should be replaced with a dropdown menu. Radio buttons become too cluttered with more than 4~5 options.

Gondor, I think a better way to get mod powers is to stop asking for it, let them know your at least open to becoming a mod WITHOUT demanding, continuously look for bugs and stuff, be helpful, see if they are actually "looking" for a new mod, and stop with the run on sentences! Bad grammar is ok, but yours is barely readable! *laughs*...
Anyways, good to see some of my ideas got through
. So, we just need to ask around and jakool for a bit... tell us if you got anything!

Animations get a bit annoying after a while, don't they? Whereas with images you stop noticing them at that barrier. However, you can't "not notice" animations -- unless they're really small, like a network monitor in your system tray, and even that you tend to notice.
(Although kinternet is great in that regard, I hardly ever 'notice' it.)
