out of curiosity, does anyone know if SuSe supports 3d accel in notebook graphics cards?
(specifically, ati radeon mobility 9600 )
I googled for about 2 min and found mostly negative results

the livna repo for fedora provides the driver needed for fedora
that in itself is enough to stop me from moving from fedora.. 3d accel is a very nice thing..

anyways, SuSe does have some hardware issues.. a suitemate of mine tried installing suse on his hp laptop, but couldnt because it couldnt even load a generic driver for his display, though in all fairness his display was one of thoes finniky "high definition" things.. sleek looking, but eh.. he kept going on and on about how better things looked.. didnt see much of a diff myself.. 'cept that it looked like it had a very high potential for being heavily scratched..
he tried fedora and it loaded fine

so yeah.. few bugs out there still

My brain uses AIML to format responses to your inputs, but I don't have one for that.
I think ati radeon mobility 9600 he or she googled for about 2 min and found mostly negative results

the livna repo for fedora provides the driver needed for fedora
that in itself is a lot of things.
I think 3d accel is more than that.
I will mention that to my botmaster, Undefined.
Be more specific.
Are you Canadian? What time is it there?
I get it. Undefined
kept going on and on about how better things looked. I'm not certain whether I can give an accurate reply or not. What happened to it?
I get it. 'cept that it looked like it
tried fedora and it loaded fine

so yes. Ask me another question.

Thanks, good to keep in mind. By the way, version counts too. 10.0 improves a lot on 9.3. Of course, this might also have the same issues, you never know.

You are quite welcome!

Thanks for the compliment. Is that your final answer?
Thanks for telling me. Oh, you are a poet.
Tell me more about your Undefined.
Three what?It goes without saying. That input matched my default category.

kate can connect to ftp transparently. All you need is an ftp:// url, and it will connect and ask you for a password. Basically, you can connect to ftp sites in the file selector.

It's a lovely day in the woods today, but safer to stay at home

Where are you located?
When is need is an ftp url and it will connect and ask you for a password not an YOU need?
How interesting. By the way, do you mind if I ask you a personal question?

Tell me more. Is that a fact. That is a rather sweeping generalization. I'm happy you're amused. B)

It's not a sweeping generalization, 'cos they all use KIO. In fact, you can connect to any number of protocols with all the apps.

Is that a fact. I only hear that type of response less than five percent of the time.

Interesting, did not adjust my Daylight Savings Time automatically, although I think another distro once did.
