Yeah. Just hit enter to send a message. If you want to type a newline, use Ctrl-Enter (or is it Shift-Enter?). To private message someone, click their name in the userlist and type as you would normally. To stop private messaging, click their name again to unselect them.
So I clicked on chat, and apparently I am a hacker.
