The Kraken, which is found primarily in Scandinavian myth, was a huge sea creature. It was said to lie at the bottom of the sea for a long time and then it would rest at the surface....Like the Midgard serpent in the Norse myths, the Kraken was supposed to rise to the surface at the end of the world.

Uh, what brought this up? The filters we have are too strict already.
Besides, how many people actually use profanity around here? Give us some credit.

I don't mind profanity that much as long as it is used in moderation. I personally do and will not cuss but I am not all that offended when people do. I would vote yes but with less strict filters i.e. making words appear like d***, h*** or s***. Though a cool possibility would be using filters that you can turn on and off (or even make more or less lenient) by choice.

Filters ought to stay as they are. They are not too strict, they are not too leinient. They are good the way they are.
I really see no reason for starting this topic, FWF. I haven't noticed any kind of repeated, unfiltered profanity. When it is ocasionally used (such as by Kraken above) it's caught by the filters.

I'm more or less reffering to the filter of the short form of damnation, which I feel isn't really that bad.
Most of the filters are good enough. I do prefer to rely on the good spirit of members instead of filtering, but I guess sometimes we need 'em.
BUT WE NEED TO KEEP THE 101 FILTER AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!1111111 omgrofl1

Seriously...There really is no need for profanity at all. There are so many other words that you can use. Swearing is definately as sign of immaturity. Except in some situations. I.E. (You get into an car accident and your yelling at the other guy.)
