Hello all, installed this game (v 2.9) and had a go att minibb but after an evening of pulling my hair and some various cursing I gave up and downloaded phpbb as that bb was supprted in config and could show news. Installation of phpbb went fine but faf asked for lib/phpbb.php and that file is nowhere to be found. I'm no php-guru nor mysql-guru so I can't make that fiel by myself and wondered if anyone here has a phpbb.php. I don't feel like buying ipb :P but my son likes this game and It was for him I got busy with it in the first place.

Greetings

If your son likes the game, why doesn't he just play it here, rather then starting up your own game?

Hey,

Unfortunately, I don't think we ever did bother including a phpbb support module in lib... Right now, the only board supported is IBP. You can still find the 1.3 'trial' that we use:

For the exact same version as us, which should work with no issues, go here:
http://raybdbomb.com/dls/1p3Final.zip

For a slightly more up-to-date version, go here:
http://raybdbomb.com/dls/1p3p1Final.zip

HOWEVER, we have not tested IPB support with 1.3.1, so I can't make any promises. Nonetheless, the first link should work with no problems.

Thank you for the quick answer I'll have a go at this when I have had some sleep, trying the newest one and let you know how it turned out.

Minibb is just for in-game forums, the external forum is independent of that (and we only support IPB 1.3 in that unfortunately). So you don't need to mess with minibb, as that's only for in-game (and required there).

Since I'm an upgradefreak and run mysql5 (and php5) the db didn't even install I gave up early this morning :P Installed phpbb again and I'll try to make a phpbb.php lateron. Yes I notced the minibb-thingie :D Lost some hair over it first but realised that it was the clanforums that used it.

Try and try again in progress.

Over and out!
