East-West vs. North-South

Ok, isn't the Near East more east than south of North Africa? As this is so, perhaps we should change the movement directions to East and West instead of North and South. Unfornately, Europe is north of North Africa, so we might have a slight problem with the nomenclature then also.

Depends on which part of North Africa. Though really, you should start in the Near East, and then move north to Europe, or south to North Africa.
