Thanks, it is installed.
How do you make a new data base?
Whenever I try I get:
# Error : Impossible to create or read this database

I can't understand why I get this message.

Edit: I can make Databases now, but How do you get the FaF code to recognize them?

Modify config.php with your database's name.

$config['dbhost'] = 'localhost'
$config['dbuser'] = 'staron_faf'
$config['dbpass'] = '-------'
$config['dbname'] = 'staron_faf'
$config['pconnect'] = 1

I named my Datsbase staron_faf
What do I put for the username, and password?

FWF, I do not recomend setting up FAF from your home PC, especially Windows one. Grab me on MSN I can fix you up with a free host.

I say the opposite. If all you're after is testing, use your own computer. A lot easier, and you can even tell it to only accept connections from you, somehow. Any decent firewall (including that included with WinXP) will block others from using your server.
Back. I think.

FWF, you need to configure a user for the mysql database - the username and password you use for that will be what you need to connect. Sorry, can't help you there - I have no experience with setting up MySQL on Windows.

Neither do I, really.
But EasyPHP runs directly out of the nonexistent box.
http://www.easyphp.org/
Its mySQL is configured to only accept connections from localhost, so no password needed.
Once again, your firewall should stop others from connecting to it.
Back. I think.

Not sure if you got this working or not but goto x:\mysql\bin and run the winmysqladmin.exe where x: is the drive you have mysql installed on. The first time you run the program it will ask you to assign a user and password for the databases.
