Yeah, I heard about that watching a show on the Yellowstone supervolcano. I believe the engines were Rolls Royce ones, because airlines provide their own engines, but the article doesn't say, so I am not sure. Several other planes have flown through ash clouds and experienced much the same thing. This one just has a famous quote attached to it. Not that I don't like the quote.
