Yeah 2-1 for England, we ain't like argentina and decide to keep going and going, once we get one goal we go into defencive mode which ain't the right thing to do. Plus what the SMEGGING HECK IS ROONEY DOING OUT ON HIS OWN??!!!!!! He more or less only just recovered from a bloomin broken foot!!

Yeah, all the England strikers were pretty much on their own, bar a few exceptions. In those exceptions they actually scored...

Well we lost but the bloody gimpy ref robbed us of 3 things, one being a bloomin player (rooney) then a penalty for handball then a ------- penalty goal we had to re-take how gimpy.

Rooney deserved to be sent off, frankly. That was so not cool. Sorry.

And of course you had to retake the ruddy penalty! The whistle hadn't gone - 100% the shooter's fault. I was cheering for England, but Portugal did deserve to win. Frankly, Ricardo was the best goalkeeper out there.

Well, in all fairness, penalty shots are a pure cointoss. Look at Argentina v. Germany. I feel Argentina played better all match, an equalizer arriving only to the sub goalie.

But yes, I also think that all three of the ref's calls that Slasher points out were indeed fair. England, though fighting heroically after Rooney, did not deserve the win of that match. The fact that neither did Portugal didn't change that somebody had to advance.

Also, what do you make of the wink that one of the portugal players did as if to say "yes hes gone i've done it" just like they puthim out of action in the euro 2004?

I may seem like I am moaning but I ain't that fussed as it's only a game at the end of the day, I just saw some decisions that the ref made a little gimpy.

Maybe Rooney actualy did it on purpose as revenge from getting a broken foot off one of them? Who knows... No one does but himself.....

What happened in the Brazil/France match? I was no where near a computer or TV at the time of the match so I have no idea of what went on.

Well, I agree, there was an opportunity for a foul against Portugal just before the incident.
