look, i know this is a gaming site and i really do not like to mix politics in with em, ask nuke, but, i do think there are some who can weigh in on this with mature thoughts, so here goes:

http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/737634.html
http://today.reuters.com/news/newsartic ... rss&rpc=22
http://www.breitbart.com/news/2006/07/12/D8IQO4SOO.html
http://www.breitbart.com/news/2006/07/12/D8IQNIJ01.html
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,203076,00.html

here are just a few of the latest links in what is becoming something to really worry about.
Israel has every right to defend itself. they have bent and bent for the Palestinians and have watched in horror as the Hamas won the government.
all i can say is this:
I hope Israel gives em hell.

any thoughts or opinons?

I'll post more later, but don't forget that the evil Hamas had a self imposed truce that lasted for 14 months until Israel wasted a family of 4 while they were having a picnic on the beach. Since that time it's been escalating with Israel invading them, and Hamas capturing soldiers. Technically they should be considered POW's but for whatever reason they are not. So Kraken you being a conservative American I can safely assume that you consider Israel in a much higher regard than Palestine, so can you tell me when the last time Israel had a PM that wanted peace? And can you tell me what happened to him?

Don't get me wrong, I think neither side is right and they both for the most part like war better than peace. As far as I'm concerned they can kill each other off all day long and it won't bother me in the least. just stay out of their way and let them have at it.

Not to put too fine a point on it, Hell is nuclear warfare so I hope it doesn't come to that.

That said, that region's been perfectly unstable since the 50s, so no reason to assume that one swing in the violence level either way actually means something.

errr, double check yer facts on the family of four nuke. They determined that it was unexploded ordinance that killed em. didnt you notice how it dropped off the face of the liberal press?

yeah, I have been looking into the Isreal/palastinian war. Both sides are wrong in this conflict. Palastinians can't beat Isreal military wise so they are trying to get there way by taking hostages, which is the dubest thing to do. Isreal will not bow to terrorism so they are now bombing the hec out of the Gaza strip, meeting little resistance, well, nothing they can't handle anyway. Isreal bombing them obviously is not the right course of action. At the rate this is going, I don't see any end in sight. I am hoping that things calm down during the next year cause I am taking my birthright trip next summer and would much rather not be killed while I am there. We do have military protection while we are there though.

You cannot blame the whole religion for the acts of a few. That is what starts racism and the likes.

If by they you mean Israel's second stance on it (they initially apologized for it but after it created an international furor they then said it wasn't them) then yes, you are right they found it was Palestine's fault.

But let's review more evidence:

Israel said it fired 6 shells within 250 yards of the site in question

Israel said they found where 5 of those shells landed, but could not locate the sixth.

An independant study found that the crater in question was the exact same size as the 5 other craters Israel admitted to.

An independant investigation found a piece of shrapnel with 155mm stamped on it.

Doctors said the shrapnel they removed was of a type that comes from an artillery shell.

The only landmine that induces injuries to upper bodies like that are bounding mines, and no bounding landmine in the world is capable of producing a crater that size.

Eyewitnesses all said they heard artillery. (believe me, they know the sound)

But because Israel says it wasn't them and Israel's supposedly god's chosen people we will blindly believe Israel and ignore all other evidence. You forgot to mention the Israeli PM I was referring to, so here's a link on him. He was assassinated by an Israeli because he made peace with Palestine. Now, how can you tell me that Israel's just an innocent victim when they kill anyone who tries to end the violence? And before you start posting things the Palestines did I'll already concede that they are just as guilty but I cannot ignore the evidence and try to say that Israel is being victimized by Palestine. They are both run by warmongers and neither side wants peace.

The US is just wasting their money by helping either side. Better off just letting those 2 just fight it out and make sure it's contained to those 2 countries. Hopefully they kill each other off.

Hey Kraken, which religion is responsible for more deaths per capita, Islam or Christianity?

While I'm at it, who's the most quoted prophet in the Koran?

EDIT: And innocent israeli citizens are just as rare as innocent Palestinian citizens.

More deaths per capita: historically, Roman Catholic. Over the last decade or so, Islam. That's my guess.

Most quoted prophet... you're aiming for a surprise here, so at a guess, Jesus?

Good call. Most guess Mohammed.

Next question, of todays Bible and the Koran which is more historically accurate? e.g. which has changed the least since it was written? Slight hint, one of them had debates over what was considered divine and what was not and had a billion different versions including some parts and excluding others.

The Bible for sure has changed the most. And Islam for sure hasn't changed much.
