I saw a thing on the Television early about some people saying that this movie shouldn't have been made yet. I for one, think its a good reminder 'specially with this new terror business. But aside from that, I'm happy that the movie was made at such a time when atleast it isn't all dead and buried. Kinda how like Pearl is.
But is the timing really that offencive? Or is it the movie?

I read somewhere that they talked to many of the relatives of the survivors and asked them before hand if it was alright to make the movie
the majority of them didnt have a problem with it, infact, they supported it
if these people have no problem with it then noone else should
time-wise.. eh. time dulls all. if a movie about titanic (esp. the one with the lovestory sqashed in) had been released 5 years after its sinking it would probably have been in bad taste.. pearl harbor.. meh. differences here is that the people at pearl harbor were military killed by another military. 9/11 civilians were killed by a group of extremeists.
atleast they're not going to recreate the explosion into the twintowers, apparently its going to be referenced by real footage shown on a tv in the background or somthin.. should look up that artical

Given the rather large number of people who saw the actual footage as it was happening, there's no way they really could recreate it and have people be satisfied. A note: there were several movies made soon after Pearl Harbor that were about Pearl Harbor. In fact there were several produced during WW2 itself, in 1942 no less. The first really successful one was "From Here to Eternity" made in 1953. This is not much different from that. Of course compared to the number of people who saw that plane hit the second tower, the number of people who saw the attack on Pearl Harbor was small. So it may yet be too soon. Especially if they treat it wrong. That'll really piss people off.
