A misleading title, perhaps, as physics there are just the same as anywhere. But the people are different, which is what matters.

I now understand why Bobby Fischer is there. He's mad as a hatter, he must fit right in.

That was awesome. My brother would do something like that. He currently has a truck that he drives around on trails at least as steep as those cliffs they were climbing. His is geared different and has alot less horsepower, but it's similar. Icelanders are crazy though. Who would think to drive a snowmobile across the water??

I did rember once that someone attempted to drive a snomoble across Lake Tahoe... That's around 10 miles. Not sure if they did it, or made it if they did try.
