Mmk... The game needs some sort of spice. So why not bring Hero's back. Instead of having the basic 9, why not go a special route. Civilization specific hero's. Say... Only the Greeks can get Alexander. Instead of having to get the hero in the normal fashion, what about they "appear" when certain conditions are met. Say, 98% success for attacks and at least 80% of your land must be barracks. He stays for like 100 turns then he dies? or leaves. Whatever. You can make the appearance ratio very small.

This is just a thought, I don't know. Please comment, makes suggestions, ect.

Sounds fun. We've got a busy to-do list, but if we prioritize and people like the feature it could get pushed up.

My idea is that when we have the to-do list, the staff identifies some core features (very few, perhaps none) that take top priority. Then the community votes for which ones we do next, or which order we do the next ones in. That sound like a plan?

Freen, it would be the Macedonians who get Alex, not the Greeks. The Greeks would get someone else, but other than that, good idea. Poll idea is a good one as well. Just need to figure out what's gonna be on the poll...

By the Gods... I don't care who gets who. As long as who gets who and its right I'm good. How is Macedon different than the Greeks exactly? It there a time period I'm missing or what? I thought Macedon united into Greece and such. *Shrug* You'd know, I'm just wondering at this point.

Macedon was it's own country/city-state for most of history, it wasn't until recently that it got incorporated into Greece. The current country called "Macedonia" is in the wrong place. It's not the historical Macedonia.

Greece as we know it today never existed in history, there was an idea of Greeks and Greece, but it was all individual city-states like Athens, Sparta, etc. Macedon both was and wasn't one of these states, it had a similar language and culture, but it was on the fringe and considered somewhat barbarous by the rest of the Greeks.

They would eventually conquer the rest of the Greeks, that was under Philip's rule, and then the known world, under Alex. So Macedon should definitely get Alex. The Greeks can have someone else. Maybe a Homeric hero?

I tend to like the heroes the way they are. If we made heroes race specific then everyone would just play the same race, whatever is most powerful given the heroes available. At least this way the races are free to mix and match and it is a bit more diverse.

We need to get some feedback from the masses and see what they want.

Well...The idea is to favor the races bonus. Egyptian get a hero that helps them get more food. Or reduces the amount of food used for x turns. Thats what I mean. If anything, the main point will be to make sure no one hero is overpowered. IE Brome...
