Mmk... We had to be at the courthouse by 9am. So not so bad. You get searched with a metal detector and a dude. Then, you go to the Juror lobby, check in, and sit.

While in the lobby, the do an tutorial of sorts on what to do. You have to watch this 10 minute movie on why its so great to serve your country, and its uber boring.

After that, you sit and wait. You can't leave the area, because you can't contact the clients and such. If your lucky, they will say "Group x is dismissed". I wasn't. They told us to go to the 2nd floor. A lady was waiting for us, and she lead us the way down, and then into the courtroom. We found out while in there, that they had just settled the case.
If they hadn't, some of us would have had to sit, and that it looked like the trail would end near Friday. I got the misfortune of being in criminal court. >_<.

Anyway, I got out about noon, when the judge dismissed us all.

Not too bad really. Got me $12.50 just for sitting around for 3 hrs.

Thats how it was for me. I'm sure that Nuke, or Kraken have done the same of sorts. Michigan has a new system, so that everyone serves before you repeat now. So... I'm good for about 3 years. But, *Laughs* My mom and dad aren't. :D

Heh. Can you bring a book with you? Or, so I don't appear too out of touch with today's youth, an electronic game?

(When I was at school, the fad was Tamagochis, a sort of electronic substitute for a doll.)

Permanent absentee ballot is the only way to fly. I unfortuntely I made a mark on my ballot so I had to go to the polling place this time, not too bad for me either. Probably because presidential elections have a much higher turnout, but in any case it wasn't bad at all.

Unless it affects my job I don't mind jury duty at all. But then again I'm a strange person. Normally at this point I'd take a shot at Kraken but, meh... can't do it.
I know the voices in my head arn't real but they usually have some pretty good ideas.

Still have not had Jury Duty, weird.

Damn my conscience, despite all my railing against the government and the two party system and everything else, I STILL voted. I shouldn't have, but I did. Only 3 Libertarians on the ballot and one independent though. It sucked. If was gonna vote, I would at least make sure it didn't count for much. XD.

Heh, I'm registered as an Independent for voting. I didn't want to give either party a guaranteed vote, and I wanted them to try to work for mine.
