Forums at temporary URL working!

Hello FAFers,

The forums are now working at this, our new temporary URL. We hope to move back to the old URL soon, but until then, our site is fully functional at this URL. Cheerios!

Thanks for the offer. However, we need to sort this out at a deeper level, and with staronesw.com. For instance, if you try to access:
http://staronesw.no-ip.org/faf (no trailing slash)
you get redirected to the old domain, which is now a spam page. So we don't want to switch domains, this is just a temporary change.

Yes... I know. I started Mozilla here at home, and it worked just fine. But when I tried to do my Promi run for Speech class it totally wasn't even there.

Cashe flushed and it is still working. Domain Name provider gone wacky? DNS cashe poisoning attack? Gremlins?

Doesn't work for me. I get the spam page with a why am I seeing this page link towards the bottom. When you click that link it tells you that the domain name has expired.

I say, that's quite interesting. It must be one of the three alternatives you mention, Bjorn. I think your Uni must be overagressive in caching DNS queries.

kinda funny
I ghosted my windows partition yesterday, went to faf.staronesw.com, and it gave me the wierd page with the flowers. first thought was "noes.. spyware already?"
pulled it up on blackbird, everything worked fine. looked at the news, saw this topic. clicked the no-ip linky and all was well. now when I go to faf.staronesw.com on blackbird it gives me the flowers page. saddness

no-ip.org is spiffy

What do you mean? I received the email myself -- I sent it to all WOA and all BFR players. I did omit the forumgoers, true.
