Well... I decided to scrap SuSE for the time being 'cause I fancied a mess about with something else... Ordered some ubuntu cd's a while ago and ended up getting dapper 6.06 version of ubuntu.
However my question is this;
I somehow managed to totally mess up the process of installing ndiswrapper. Would there be a way to clear all of the ndiswrapper stuff so I can start again with it?
Thanks in advance and any help is appreciated...... bloody wireless stuff!! *laughs*

heh heh heh...stupid fairy
all about FAVRE, come on...you know you want to click it
The Kraken, which is found primarily in Scandinavian myth, was a huge sea creature. It was said to lie at the bottom of the sea for a long time and then it would rest at the surface....Like the Midgard serpent in the Norse myths, the Kraken was supposed to rise to the surface at the end of the world.

er, see a previous post with all the ndiswrapper commands (or type 'ndiswrapper --help')
you'll just want to remove whatever drivers you've installed, thats the only critical bit.
though I've yet to see a builtin wireless card that didnt work proper with ubuntu...
you're also about 1.75 update cycles behind in ubuntu, Edgy (6.10) was released a little while back, and I think Fawn is April sometime... its only one cd

Upgraded ubuntu, broke ndiswrapper and trying to fix it, got beryl to work, it's very nice and thats all I need to show off at college to all the windows gimps (like one of our tutors, he thinks windows vista is the best thing since sliced bread.... but he's a smeghead)

meh. beryl requires composite, and my ati drivers go screwy when I try to enable it. so no [extra] shiny for me
glad you got it workin'
the nice thing about linux is that about anything can be removed and reinstalled with minimal effort. windows registry ftl. and if you do have to reinstall, you dont have to worry about the licence file crapping out.. 'cause there isnt one = D
if ndiswrapper died just remove your old driver and try it again

*laughs* yeah, though I could care less, hes a complete gimboid anyways... The other tutor gave me permission to use my laptop because the college network was messed up (upgrading servers to vista or something stupid)... I also said if they plan on putting vista on the workstation computers, they better get used to me taking my laptop in everyday! XP I can put up with.... But vista..... EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

er.
did it give you that error the very first time you tried to install it?
you should probably also make sure all the repos are selected, but given it found kvirc that shouldnt be the issue
