I don't think having premium accounts is a good idea. It can lead to people who have them expecting thing, Demanding things. If its free then they can't say things like "Hey I payed for it so you admins should spend more time working on the code" But as it is we can just tell people that is is free and if they don't like it they are welcome to leave. A donate button would be the best was if money was really a problem.
Anyway I just read this topic and had to say that.
The main page. If anyone comes to our home page there is nothing about what the site is about, what the site is or anything. There is no "About us" link. No information anywhere for people wondering what our site is, Only someone who has played Promisance before would know what it is.
I was introduced to Promisance by the squekytoad. He tough me how to play in person. Promisance has a steep learning curve, and our game guide is not enough for someone who is actually trying to learn how to play to learn to. We do need a intro guide. A step by step guide for new players. A easy way for new players to play and fell that they are not idiots.
I am willing to help with anything that needs help with, My spelling and grammar are not to good.

I really think thats what we need. People to ASK for help. If people want to learn how to play at FaF no amount of reading is going to help. It took Nohc only a few days to get me on my feet, and I'm still learning a few things here and there occasionally.
I'll help people play. I've helped Prog out more than a few times and if we had WoA running I would have brought him into Sci Ops for a while and taught him more. *Shrug* Not sure what to say. We need a longer running game thats more friendly for learning. WoA was definitely that.

No way in hell am I reading all of this. I think it's just the fact that QM games have been around longer, which made them more popular, which led to them being used as source code more often, which made it even more popular. Your theme is a little weird though, if I remember correctly this game has slaves. Themes can bring in a lot of players, like that piece of (Profanity is a sign of Maturity) FEE with all the players it had.Ruddertail wrote: Death - what do you think it is that make QMT games more popular?
