BFR this set was the first FAF spy strat I ever ran. If I can do that 3 runs out of protection, I'd say mage is overpowered.

Did you use the explore for land mission? That might be a little overpowered, but the strat itself is not. Farmer was overpowered. We have a good mix right now, before it was either farmer or nothing.

No, I never used the land mission. Just raise tax. I never even murdered anyone.

Thats because no one that I know thats a good player, (Save Arthus) was playing. I could lock the game up next set if I wanted and leave you all starving for land. Any one can do it. Now if there are 5-6 people of good skill playing, you can't do that. It doesn't mean anything overpowered. It just means you know what to do in that situation compared to all these other people.

Exactly. Someone soloing should not be able to do that. Locking the land should be a team strat. Also, do you claim to be able to do it with any strat other than spy? Doubt it.

Well every other strat can be broken by a pure mager, or at least usually, at the beginning anyways. Later on if they get like 130k land and everyone else is at 10k, even a pure mage won't be able to do anything if the guy puts like, 60k into MT's. I could be wrong, but when I did it that was the case.

Ah, but that requires you to be able to hold it in the early game, which is close to impossible against pure mages. 2 mages working together could take anything down as long as the difference wasn't huge. If someone manages to do what I did using anything other than mage strat, I'll be very impressed.

Shadow, Arthus and others have done it several times using the Farmer strat, solo, just like you. Due to a lack of good players, and specifically good mage players, it's actually quite easy to do in this game.

Having made all the other strats crap now, I have to agree that maging will most likely be overpowered, at least before I quit playing after it all went tits up it was anyways.

Well, seeing as how everyone is mage now, or indying, it shows that farming, which used to be overpowered, has now been nerfed. You can still compete with it, though it is now not as effective as the others.

I have never really tried farmer, but I think the strats go, in order of power:

mage
indy
farmer

although I bet a smart farmer controlling the market could give the others a run for their money.

Not really, it's fairly simple to stay in the green for food or only slightly in the red. They wouldn't make that much off the pm really.
