The land was released like you said, nothing happened with it and I made a defense after getting sent what was left of Volk's army. That was after the release, which happened like you wanted. If you wanted it released again, you could have asked. Asked being the keyword there. Although I suppose with Antiguan's land floating around it won't be long before someone break me with it. Assuming it doesn't get dropped or something foolish like that.

I just hope everyone trying to dominate/lock the land realizes that it's basically pointless. Two people can take you down no matter how many spies you have in a matter of a few days. When I was suiciding Prog, I had maybe 50mil net, was running on 19k land and started out with a rather poor number of spies. It's not even worth building all that net on large chunks of land.

If Shadow and I had been clanless, the land lock would have been much harder to defeat. But my aim never was to lock land, it was simply to claim emp, which I did.

Yes, but the thing is, we realize the implications of making an Emp run. When I did mine, I was one 23,000 acres for nearly all of it.

You don't need 100,00 acres to do it. Infact, if thats putting the biggest bullzeye on your back there is. If TS hadn't dropped 80,000 acres, I doubt you woulda had it Volk.

Well, as long as people decide not to be annoying and lock lands, my clan won't murder anymore. But I think all that is needed is to fix the mage strat.

I don't think TS made that much of a difference really. You're right, I didn't need 100,000 acres, but I figured, if I'm gonna be emp, why not be impressive about it? The fact that I could scrape up 120k land shows that the game wasn't all that landstarved. People were still sitting on 20k or so, in most cases.

Wasn't that back under the old storing style though, so you could pull a massive army and then sit for ten days to claim emp?

Doesn't take much to be a storehouse for ten days. To be ruling (emp) I think you need to have some measure of control over the game. Volk would have had it either way, beacause nobody was fighting back. I think TS dropped his land after Volk stepped down anyway.

Actually I was running on it. I went from about 500 mil NW to over 900 mil NW during my run as emp.
