You already have options to stop turns if...

Net Income is negative
Net Food production is negative
Spies production is negative
Population production is negative

Why not add in an automatic function to stop turns from being used when an empire runs out of cash or food? I just made a typo and lost 69% of my net, so it made me think of this. lol

Can't stop turns if you are building or demolishing, right now. That's a planned addition for later.

I asked for that forever ago. Somewhere the solution was discussed.
