Clan Dropping Exploit

Good for RWL. Its sad thats its that much of a problem over there, but whatever. We already have a process lined up if it gets to be a problem. The fact is, you guys don't want to push this further, because the changes are ready to go in.

And Shadow, Admins are people and players too. We know full well what it means to play the game and to clan hop. Don't act like because I have "powers" that I can do things on a whim, because I can't.

I am well aware of that. I am saying that it seems like you are here because as you have already said, there is no 'rule' saying that you can't clan hop. I hate clan hopping as much as the next guy, but it does have strategic value and if it isn't against the rules it has its uses. If it is against the rules you need to make that clear before threatening consequences. People don't all play by your code of ethics, and you can't get mad when people don't do just that.

That being said, I have already agreed not to boot for land gain again. No need to keep threatening these mysterious consequences and changes.

yeah, rwl has been trying to code out clan hopping for a while, and most people assume it is illegal there in the meantime. And to point out the obvious ones, this site has them too... no multiing, etc.

Admin actions are usually carried out when there is a breach of the rules, not when an admin feels like a player is being unethical...

There aren't my policies. God man, I'm like bottom of the Admin tier here. Get off how everything is my opinion and such.

That being said, If you want to go into how much everyone hates it but we do it, well. Thats for a different time. Thats technically called abuse. And -any- type of abuse is punishable when its not reported. However, we know about this and have measures in place for when its happening. Usually, we don't expect our veteran members to resort to such a thing so its -not- an issue. If a bunch of new people came over or just vets from another Promi and were abusing it, that is what the consequences are for.

So, you can quit arguing about magic rules because I can promise that every Promi has gentlemen agreements on things like this. If you want to argue more about this, I'll have Bjorn lock down clans like we had planned if this was a problem. And you guys can really get a feel for how clans work when you're in one for a minimum of a week.

And its up to the players to enforce those agreements. Now don't complain if you've been onlined because I'm sure you've gotten people to help you retail on them. So the justice has been served.
