This site measures readability. I am using it mainly for an important essay I am writing. To relieve the stress of work, I sometimes paste in blocks of text that I admire and see how readable they are. If you find a block of text that you like or admire, quote it here and paste the scores.

The Flesch reading ease score is based on a range of 0-100, with lower values for harder text and higher values for easier text; the other scores show the approximate (US) school grade of the text. Grades 13-16 correspond to college level; grades higher than 16 correspond to graduate school level.
I'll kick off with the pamphlet introducing the NHS in 1948 in the UK.
Flesch reading ease score:Everyone – rich or poor, man, woman or child – can use it or any part of it. But it is not a ‘charity’. You are all paying for it, mainly as taxpayers, and it will relieve your money worries in times of illness.
