So... isn't scouting supposed to get a nice boost? BEcause right now on WoA, I can make barely 3k land in a full run of scouting, and that's totally not worth it.

not worth the cost - to run, I sell troops, so I waste huge amounts of cash doing it if I want to also keep a hold on the land I generate.

Mage scouting makes alot of land if I recall correctly, not quite sure how much it was though. I think I made about 10k land per run last set and still was able to loot up enough to defend my land.

Yes, mage scouting weakens you because you are losing resources when scouting and also to upkeep. But expanding your empire usually is very costly so it makes sense. I think it's hardest for mages because they rely heavily on runes and it takes alot to scout, and they suffer both gold and food upkeep. For other starts its not as bad.

My advice, only scout a little bit at a time. Or mass runes for when you do do it so you can mage land and then loot enough to defend yourself.

I've been scouting alot but I've only been using the normal scouting and getting around 2k per run I do it. Which is pretty decent I guess.

I get 25 land per mage scout. If I did a full run i would get barely over 6k land, and I would have 0 left to defend with.

If you did 250 mage scout missions, with a decent amount of huts and mages, you can gross 32,500 land per day on BFR. Well, per 500 turn run.

Its just a function of the mages and huts. Scouting requires I think THEE single highest utility ratio in the game.

If you were at 175 ratio maybe? Nobody gets there while defending

On woa, while being on control of lots of land, and at about 100 utility ratio, I can get only 6250 per run at the cost of my mage defense and the cash I would use to buy troop defense.

Also, no mission requires a utility ratio, you succeed no matter what. The only difference is in the output.

in most proms, ratio has nothing to do with output, just mission cost. Can you show me the equation? Because most proms have just raw leader numbers in the output equation, so I don't think being at a higher ratio with the same amount of leaders makes any difference to output.

The fact remains that hawk scout is barely twice as effective as normal scout for 10x the cost.
