What if a fellow is "hawking", or whatever the current term for Spy/Mission-based strategies is? Wouldn't the addition of the excess land ruin their hawk ratio, thereby throwing off the delicate balance that some strategies require? I suppose, if we included a setting that effectively allows one to "reject" the new land (the explanation being that they did not attempt to claim any of it), that could be circumvented.

Otherwise, I rather like the idea. :)
