X/HTML That Will Make You Weep

Quick Suggestion:

Perhaps we should look towards some modicum of standards compliance in our HTML? Our front page, for example, has 181 errors spewed out by the validator.

I'd suggest we pick a standard (Either XHTML 1.x or HTML 4.x, obviously) and try to change the somewhat sloppy HTML into something that any browser should (theoretically) render with absolutely no problems.

Just another thing for a later incremental release. :D

Judging purely by the number of ampersands we have in URLs, we are doomed. Let's just give it up an' all. If all major browsers render it O.K., as they do, then I don't personally care any more. If it were easily fixable, it would be different.

Well, if it is done very slowly we could be ok. Something to work at.

Pick a standard and any new HTML can be written to that. ;)

Indeed, or old templates. But a lot of URLs are generated within the game. And I fear of ending up like:
