Saro, who is supposedly gondor, is a dirty rule breaker. He attacked me, and others, far over the limit. When I confronted him, he said he didn't like the rules. When I told him he had to comply with them, or he would be punished, he murdered me numerous times and took me to 6k.

I call for a group of people to slam him as hard as you can, take him to 500 acres if you're in a clan. We will show that people must comply. And this goes for all. This sort of blatent disregard for the WOA guidelines will not be accepted, from anyone, admin or n00b. But now is not the time for thinking ahead, now is the time for action! Let us show gondor, and the world, what happens when one breaks WOA's guidelines intentionally and blatently, and refuses to repent when confronted! S'Death!

I don't blame him for not liking the rules. Thats why I gave him my account because I didn't like the rules. The rules make the game boring IMHO.

I don't blame him for not liking the rules, either. I expected that. I blame him for breaking the rules, and assulting an admin for telling him to stop.

If he doesn't like the rules, he doesn't have to play. We like it when more people play, but no one is forcing him to play the game. If he thinks it's boring, he's welcome to stop playing.

Ahem... he didn't assault an admin. He assaulted a player (which is legal). Please keep that in mind closely.

Also...

After all, there is a reason they are listed as 'Guidelines, not 'Rules'. It is enforced by consensus, not by authority. If the players agreed to ditch the guidelines from now on, they could just ask you to edit the Guidelines topic, or ask me to remove it from the in-game link.

Democracy rules! :P I already had him to war and always attack him 21 times per run.
It ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!

Beatles: You haven't even tried WOA, how can you say the guidelines are bad?

Well, I'd love to stomp on Gondor but I have 70 days left in my vacation...

Nohc: 1. I did play WOA; 2. I like the Guidelines.

I'm just saying they're not enforced by authority, but by consensus.

Sorry, Beatles. I guess I was wrong on a few points. But it was my understanding the WOA and the Guidelines were made for each other, and while they are player controlled, they can't be totally scrubbed, only changed. I guess I might have been wrong on that, too.

On the admin thing, my point there was that he attacked me because I was reminding him about the guidelines, not for some other reason. (Ok, he attacked me because I reminded him of the concequenses of not following the guidelines, if you want to get technical.)

I'd consider it to be worse to smash a player because they are reminding you of the guidelines then if you just wanted to hurt them because they were too far ahead of you, or overtaking your lead, or something.

Days... it said hours, but it went down one "hour" each day.

Oops, I completely forgot... Well, stop trying to cause uprisings against the Guidelines! XD

Anyway, as soon as Saro knocks me out of my Emperorship, he'll be having a lot of fun...

No, don't get me wrong either of you. I whole-heartedly support the Guidelines. But if a player of very high caliber comes along and decides to just ignore them completely, and play the game his own way, there's nothing I would do about it.

So, you'd try and stop a n00b who's going against the guidelines, but you wouldn't try stop a good player, like Nuke? Even if the majority of the community was for the guidelines as they stood?
