Spyware Barely Touches Firefox

It's safer to use Firefox, apparently -- of course, I might be biased toward whoever wrote the article, as they taught my Hardware and Operating Systems course, which was excellent.

My computer has problems because of viruses i know that are there... I use these on people who annoy me but sometimes I run them by accident :P... I run Windows XP Pro with no protection only my router firewall and when something goes wrong, just format... Cause I cant be arsed with using system resources on an anti virus which detects the viruses I need :P *laughs*... anyway IE7 is alot more secure so :P if ya want a screenie let me know

Look at the title of the topic, or read the article -- one in 20-25 pages they looked at installed spyware... you can probably even get it through banner ads and the like.

Proven fact according to a topic on CWH Networks, FireFox and IE are both the same speed and use the same amount of memory on average

^^ so if FF and IE use about the same amount of resources for the same speed, yet one is historically vulnerable to attack, why use it?

the new IE 7 is ugly. I'm sure its skinnable, but default is -_-
and yep. the day it was released for beta somone said they'd found a vulnerablility.. which, by ms track record, may not be fixxed by official release..

*shrug*
I dont really notice that much of a speed difference when loading a site once, but when loading a site like mine that has the same basic layout for all pages firefox is /much/ faster.. instead of reloading everything it seems to just load the things that change

oh. and the IE png thing is annoying as heck. gifs are alright, but I'd rather use pngs.. all other browsers display them fine, IE screws the transparency
Hobbs FTW!

Can you say "Finally"? Only a few years behind the mainstream there.

Oh, and CSS2 support isn't quite there yet either.
