Search Engines
Amazing. The traditionally crappy search engines got it first.
Someone really should do a search-off comparison, and see if Google actually lives up to the hype.

True. But, I meant, in general, tech geeks worship Google as the end-all be-all. I tend to wonder if it really is as good as claimed.

Probably not. Then again, it's unique in that different people searching for WINE will get different results based on their previous searching habits. Whether that is a good thing is debatable.
Actually this is pretty inconclusive. If you use a meta-search engine, you're guaranteed to get a superset of results, but you may not like the priority (which was the important thing here). Why don't you try some equally obscure queries?

:wq
I tend to feel that priority is far more important than sheer number of results. Just about no one will search past the first 10 pages, in all honesty.
Speaking of which, there's a new version of WINE out.
