I lost almost 100 million Otters that were on the market and got hardly any cash from them (I have like 500 million cash that's all). I also had a bunch of other men on the market. I think I missed something while I was on vacation. Can someone please give me an update?

I know. But if i had hove sold 3950 Triremes on the market I would have got $711,000,000 I was selling my otters for more than It would cost to buy them on the black market. But the scalling messed that up so someone got tons of ships really cheep! I only got $14,261,077 for 3,950 Triremes, thats $3,610 per Triremes. They cost $360,000 each on the black market.

I believe its a scaling thing, I shall work out the numbers when I get back from lab

It sounds like it. That, or just FWF misinterpreting something with the scaling.

1. Troops, food, cash now appear at 1/1000-th the previous numbers. This does not affect any actual values, it's merely presentational.
2. Otters (Triremes, Warships, Quinquiremes) are now at 1/100-th their previous value, which is a total reduction of 100,000. So if you now have 12 Warships, it's the equivalent of 1.2 million previous Otters. So don't be scared.

100 million Otters to begin with
100,000,000 Otters divided by 100,000 total reduction = 1,000 Triremes in the end

but if you have 3,950 Triremes on the market... that cant be

alright. but if we unscale the cash they're valued at, $14,261,077 = 14,261,077 * 1000 = 14,261,077,000
or would that be $14,261,077 = 14,261,077 * 1000 * 100 = 1,426,107,700,000

As long as the $ values for troops were multiplied by the reciporacle (bluh) of the fraction they were divided by, everything should have worked out.

GAH! I explained this! This was the problem with the nets. I know you had alot of otters on the market FWF, but Beatles scaled it wrong when he did the switchover, so Otters were worth the same, but on the market you could get them for cheap. And there were alot more of them than there should have been. 117 BILLION to be exact. So you should never have had all those ships. And the cash that you should have gotten never got to you because of this problem. The staff apologizes for your loss I'm sure. Though actually I think you should still have them.

I have no men left on the market. I had a lot of otters, i think almost 100 million, but I don't get this whole scling thing yet so whatever..

You have no otters on the market? Wierd. I thought Beatles returned them all.

Here's what happened. There was a theme switch. In the old theme, Otters sold for 3k. In the new theme otters became ships, and 1 ship equals 100,000 otters, so the prices went up accordingly. When Beatles switched from new to old, he screwed up on the otters. They were worth the same amount once you had them, but on the pub market they were at the old price and available in the same amounts that the other troops were. That was the scaling problem. Your 100 mil should have 1000 ships on the market, which should have gotten you alot of money when you sold them all. Instead you had alot more ships but for alot less money apiece. If you had been able to take them of the market your net would have been several times bigger than Nohc's.

Meh I signed up not long ago and the scaling just makes things weird... Makes it look totally crap as if I was doing rubbish in game when really my networth aint all that bad

Indeed...everything except for me spearmen were perchased as well. I got 300 mil for them..I think. You buy them Volkov? Because the last half of me men at last count was .7 bil other troops. Which is a lot of moneies and all...( The squirells, hares and otters totalled .7 bil) Kinda odd...but I can live with it.
