I cant run the install.php, when i try to run it it opens it in dreamweaver. If i open it using a browser, it gives me the option to download. How do i run the install.php?
I tried to install several different games of this type and have the same problem with all of them. What am I overlooking?
Trying to install the open source
Follow these steps:
1) Extract the files onto your harddisk.
2) Open config.php and edit it as you wish. Make sure to input correct values for the database name, username, and password.
3) Upload everything to your webserver, including the modified config.php.
4) Access the main page (index.php, or simply the root directory).
5) install.php will run transparently when you visit the index, and everything will be set up.
You do have a webserver, right? And also understand PHP and MySQL, as well as FTP to upload the files?
