War Tax?

War Tax: $0

Just wondering...What does this do. Or should it be ignored or removed?

It only shows up while attacking or doing an action. You can't see it from the status screen. I copy and pasted from there too.

EDIT: I mean while I foraged for 200 turns..it was 0. Just like after I attacked someone.

When you actually make an attack, for those 2 turns, does it change from 0? Or does it not show up under the turns summary?

It stays as 0... It never increases or decreases. It is always 0. No matter what I do.

perhaps you should actually be at war the person you are attacking. maybe if you declare war there is a tax to compensate the extra attacks you can make.

Ohhh... War Tax was pretty negligible, if I remember correctly, so the $0 could very well be /something/... Just not something particularly big.

OK, the wartax calculation seems to have unaccountably disappeared from the code. :(

We'll find a way to put it back in, though.

It looks like its called if the warbands is at war.

This -may- be a way to balance personal war. Specifically, set the initial amount to be something like 10mil, and force the the tax to increase per turn spent. This way, the longer a person is at war (with the minimum requirement), the more they pay. Hopefully, it can bank-rupt people majorly and perhaps cause them to lose the war. Also, I think that perhaps a surrender in the war options might be useful. This would end the war regardless of any limit and give the winner a set amount of resources. The loser can only surrender if they have the requirements. Maybe its cop-out but if its steep enough it could be worth it.

I think the surrendering might be a good idea, but probably an overcomplication. But setting the personal war tax to be steep is a really good idea!
